From 7th January, organisations applying to us at the City Bride Trust Small Grants Programme will be eligible for three years funding rather than one.
We are doing this because we have been listening to you. We heard that reapplying every year can take up a lot of resources, and cause difficulties when future planning, even negatively affecting services sometimes.
We will couple this new longer-term funding with a more collaborative effort to join up with CVS, Local Authorities, networks and coalitions to identify and engage with those organisations sometimes deemed as “hard-to-reach”.
Smaller community-based organisations have said that they often find larger Trusts and Foundations difficult to approach. Working with our networks, we are aiming to reach these organisations and provide then with better support for longer.
We are now offering grants of between £1,000 to £10,000 per year for up to 3 years. We are open to what the needs are for; they can be towards a capital cost such as spades for a gardening project, or instruments for a project. Grants can equally go towards staff costs – or it can be a mixture of the two. In order to apply, your organisation’s income needs to be no greater than £100,000 as shown in your most recent set of accounts. We always get back to applicants within two months. More information can be found here.
We look forward to hearing from you!
