The pandemic has had a pronounced effect on smaller organisations, many of which have been a bedrock for community action, providing essential support to those most affected by Covid-19.

As London’s largest independent charitable funder, we have listened to what those organisations have requested (e.g. easier application and monitoring processes, longer-term funding) and responded.

With this extension of funding we hope that smaller organisations can stabilise and plan for the future in these uncertain times.

Small Grants eligibility

This programme is open to charities and similar groups working in London with an annual income of less than £100,000. Small Grants of between £1,000 and £10,000 per year are available for a maximum of five years, for the following areas of work:

  • Greening and growing projects which bring communities together and improve the local environment.
  • Projects which enable disabled people and/or older people who are disadvantaged to actively participate in the arts and sports, and health and wellbeing opportunities.

Organisations which have recently received, or currently hold, up to three years of Small Grants funding are eligible to apply for further funding, up to a maximum of five years in total. You should speak to your Funding Manager before completing our Small Grants application form.

For further information, eligibility criteria, and the application form please visit our Small Grants page.
