On Saturday 11th November, the Trust will be taking part in the world-famous Lord Mayor’s Show, parading through the historic streets of the City of London, past world-famous sites such as St Paul’s Cathedral, Bank of England and the Royal Courts of Justice.
For its entry the Trust has brought together three leading arts organisations to celebrate London’s diverse communities, creating a float which will combine music, dance and singing.
This is the sixth time the Trust has taken part in the Lord Mayor’s Show having entered most recently in 2015. This years’ float will feature: a diverse group of Core Arts musicians, many of whom are disabled people; dancers from Ballet Rambert’s programmes for older people; and singers from one of London Symphony Orchestra’s Discovery youth choirs.
The float is being designed by Emergency Exit Arts, an organisation with over 30 years’ experience in creating community and cultural celebrations and interactive performances in public spaces.
