Chief Operating Officer, Bridge House Estates

£75,880 – £86,880 pa (inclusive of Inner London Weighting)

Bridge House Estates (BHE) has recently undertaken an extensive Strategic Governance Review to look at how the governance and management of BHE could be enhanced, to ultimately increase the impact and reach of the charity’s activities for the public benefit and to model good practice.

Following a recent organisational redesign, an exciting opportunity has now arisen for an ambitious and driven Chief Operating Officer (COO) to join the newly established BHE Leadership Team and support the charity in this exciting journey.

Working closely with the Managing Director of BHE and as a key member of the BHE Leadership Team, the COO will provide strategic leadership and direction across the charity combining organisational planning and operational management. You will lead and oversee the charity’s programme of business transformation, strategy & development, change management, governance risk management, equity, diversity & inclusion and impact and learning.

You will also be responsible for overseeing the delivery of the charity’s primary object (the maintenance and support of the five Thames bridges); leading the implementation of the relevant processes to ensure that the City Corporation, as the charity’s trustee and provider of choice, provides the appropriate level of support to BHE, and in agreement with the BHE Board, commissioning Service Level Agreements (SLAs) with relevant departments across the City Corporation.

You will also oversee the management of the support functions provided to BHE by the City Corporation (HR, IT, Legal and commercial services), ensuring that the level of support provided is aligned with agreed SLAs and in the best interests of the charity. You will direct all charity operations in line with our Climate Action and Responsible Business Strategies.

Head of Strategy and Governance, Bridge House Estates

£58,170 – £66,400 (inclusive of Inner London Weighting)

Following a recent organisational redesign an exciting opportunity has now arisen for a driven and ambitious Head of Strategy and Governance to join our newly developed Leadership Team.

Working closely with the new Chief Operating Officer at Bridge House Estates, you will be responsible for the continued alignment of the charity’s activities with its strategic goals, identifying opportunities for strategic change and being responsible for implementing transformative initiatives that align with the charity’s Bridging London Strategy. You will also be responsible for providing strategic advice and guidance on charity governance matters.

You will have an excellent knowledge of internal and external charity governance matters and significant experience of developing and delivering cross-cutting change programmes, projects or strategies in a complex organisation.

Charity Operations Manager, City Bridge Trust

Ensuring that everything you do is in line with GDPR and all charitable governance requirements, you’ll develop and maintain the processes and procedures related to the administration side of our charitable and philanthropic work. Above all else, you’ll help us deliver a quality level of support to all those that engage with the Trust.

Executive Assistant, City Bridge Trust

£36,060 – £40,750 per annum inclusive

This is an exciting opportunity to join our dynamic team as an Executive Assistant. You will be working at the heart of City Bridge Trust, and we will look to you:

  • To provide a high level efficient and effective Executive Assistant service to the leadership team to support the delivery of our Funding strategy.
  • To facilitate good working relationships with Members, Chief Officers and Senior Managers within departments across the organisation, and with external stakeholders and other contacts at a senior level.
  • To coordinate and manage the planning and logistical arrangements for the delivery of events, including seminars, learning events and annual dinners in relation to charitable and philanthropic activities.
  • To undertake detailed research and analysis in support of work being undertaken by the Senior Leadership team to assist with the meeting of objectives and ensure there is appropriate preparation for meetings and working groups.
