Head of Charity & Social Investment Finance at the City of London Corporation

Salary: £52,460 – £59,970 per annum (inclusive of Inner London Weighting allowance depending on experience/performance) attractive pension; outcome focused, flexible working encouraged; based at Guildhall.

Would you relish the opportunity of being the leading in-house expert on Charity Finance at the City of London Corporation, working with us to make a difference to the lives of hundreds of thousands of Londoners?

Building on its 800 year history, the Corporation is deeply committed to charitable giving. This is centred on its funding body City Bridge Trust (CBT): London’s largest independent grant-maker, tackling disadvantage and working for a fairer London; annually distributing c£20M grants to charities; overseeing a social investment fund of a further £20M; and encouraging more City Giving.

The post-holder will be based in CBT as part of its senior leadership team, whilst also being the charity finance expert within the Corporation’s finance department.

Ideally, the successful candidate will be a fully qualified accountant with several years’ postqualification experience. A detailed working knowledge of charity finance and social investment is essential along with excellent inter-personal skills and the ability to communicate the language of finance to a lay audience.
