Meet the Senior Leadership Team

The City Bridge Trust team consists of around fifty staff, who support the Trust’s various funding programmes, the Bridge House Estates’ Social Investment Fund, and the City of London Corporation’s Philanthropy Strategy, Central Grants Unit and Corporate Volunteering Programme.

Our Senior Leadership Team, who manage these various programmes, are listed below. We also receive financial, legal, IT, and media support from staff in other departments of the City of London Corporation.

David Farnsworth
Managing Director, Bridge House Estates
David is responsible for directing Bridge House Estates: overseeing the development and implementation of its overall strategy, and any related strategies. He is responsible for the effective and efficient use of the charity's resources, managing all relevant risks, in line with good practice and any legal and regulatory requirements.
Dinah Cox
Associate Director
Dinah provides strategic support to the Managing Director of Bridge House Estates. She leads and directs the operations of City Bridge Trust, overseeing the successful delivery of the charitable funding strategies. Dinah supports the Funding Directors and their team in maximising the impact of the grant making activity.
Fiona Rawes
Philanthropy Director
Fiona is Philanthropy Director, charged with shaping and leading the City Corporation’s Philanthropy Strategy, which focuses on its £55m annual contribution of time, assets, money and skills. City Bridge Trust’s funding programmes form an integral part of this Strategy, as well as the Central Grants Unit and the Corporate Volunteering Programme.
Scott Nixon
Head of Director's Office & Corp. Charities Business Manager
Scott manages the Director’s office and oversees the Trust’s day to day operations. He also supports the Managing Director of Bridge House Estates in delivering: the charitable funding strategy; relevant aspects of the City Corporation’s Corporate Plan to achieve maximum impact; strategic/operational alignment; and regulatory compliance across the charitable portfolio.
Catherine Mahoney
Head of Charity & Philanthropy Communications
Catherine ensures target audiences and stakeholders hear relevant and timely news about our grants programme and philanthropic activities and makes sure our learning and knowledge is shared with the sector. She uses our networks and reach to help influence change for good.
Nathan Omane
Finance Manager
As Finance Manager (Charities), Nathan is responsible for providing an enabling business partnering service to City Bridge Trust and Bridge House Estates' senior managers and directors. This involves supporting the preparation of forecasts, budgets and the monitoring of financial performance. Nathan is also responsible for the preparation of the Bridge House Estates annual statutory accounts.
Sam Grimmett-Batt
Funding Director
As a Funding Director, Sam manages and leads a team of Funding Managers. Sam oversees funding programmes and strategic pieces of work, and builds relationships within and across the sector.
Tim Wilson
Funding Director & Social Investment Fund Manager
As a Funding Director, Tim leads a team of Funding Managers, overseeing strategic and funding programmes, and building relationships across the sector. With his other hat - Social Investment Director, Tim manages the Bridge House Estates' Social Investment Fund, identifying new opportunities and managing portfolio relationships to ensure its targets for social and financial return are met.
