City Bridge Trust supports charitable activity across Greater London. The City of London Corporation is the sole trustee of City Bridge Trust and members of its Court of Common Council form the Trust’s Grants Committee. The Trust’s grants team is based in the City of London’s offices at the Guildhall.

Some of the most inspirational philanthropists across the UK
have been awarded Beacon Fellowships at the 9th Beacon Awards for
Philanthropy.Hosted by Kate Adie, the biennial Beacon Awards
celebrate the extraordinary and transformational achievements of
individuals and families who have, each in their own various ways,
brought about lasting social change through their conviction, their
determination and their generosity. The awards celebrate their
exploits with the hope of inspiring others to follow suit.
For many years City Bridge Trust and the Worshipful
Company of Pattenmakers have supported the category for
London's voluntarty sector, which this year focused on building
sustainable communities. The category is open to organisations
that can demonstrate their work makes a tangible difference to
the sustainability of their locality by bringing people together
from different communities.
Six aspiring young journalists have been selected to join a new
series of a TV show which aims to bring an alternative viewpoint to
London's news agenda. Community Channel's London360 is a
weekly 30 minute magazine-style show which focuses on local stories
and shines a light on community-based campaigns. Each episode is
presented through the eyes of young Londoners aged between 18 and
25 who are passionate about the area they live in.
Why would a charity want to become listed on the London Stock
Exchange? Can new financing options be helpful to assist the most
marginalised members of our society? Golden Lane Housing is an
inspiring organisation, whose example may answer those questions.
It is an example of commitment to social impact and ambition to
help more people by learning to use different financing options.
We are pleased to announce that City Bridge Trust has approved
extra funding to support work with hard-to-reach young people, by
awarding £1 million each year over the next decade to youth
charity Prince's Trust. This grant will finance projects
intended to benefit the most socially-deprived communities in the
capital - especially young people not in education, employment or
