City Bridge Trust supports charitable activity across Greater
London. The City of London
Corporation is the sole trustee of City Bridge Trust and
members of its Court of Common Council form the Trust’s Grants
Committee. The Trust’s grants team is based in the City of
London’s offices at the Guildhall.

Six aspiring young journalists have been selected to join a new
series of a TV show which aims to bring an alternative viewpoint to
London's news agenda. Community Channel's London360 is a
weekly 30 minute magazine-style show which focuses on local stories
and shines a light on community-based campaigns. Each episode is
presented through the eyes of young Londoners aged between 18 and
25 who are passionate about the area they live in.
Why would a charity want to become listed on the London Stock
Exchange? Can new financing options be helpful to assist the most
marginalised members of our society? Golden Lane Housing is an
inspiring organisation, whose example may answer those questions.
It is an example of commitment to social impact and ambition to
help more people by learning to use different financing options.
A Chair's Compass is a new guide for Chairs of charities and
non-profit organisations which focuses entirely on the Chair's
perspective and the particular challenges and opportunities of
the role. Whether you are a new Chair, or highly experienced, this
guide seeks to provoke both thought and action. The guide will be
useful to Chairs and those who support them including Vice Chairs,
trustees, Chief Executives and governance advisers.
We are pleased to announce that City Bridge Trust has approved
extra funding to support work with hard-to-reach young people, by
awarding £1 million each year over the next decade to youth
charity Prince's Trust. This grant will finance projects
intended to benefit the most socially-deprived communities in the
capital - especially young people not in education, employment or
Connecting Londoners, our Annual Review, looks back at the
Trust's grant-making and related activities during 2013-14.
We have produced a series of short films to highlight the
range of work supported by our grant-making - from
environmental education at a city farm to a resource centre
for missing and abducted children.
