Together We Can End Violence Against Women and Girls

Violence against women takes many forms and includes domestic violence, sexual violence, abuse and exploitation, stalking, trafficking, female genital mutation, forced marriage and crimes committed in the name of honour. It requires a co-ordinated response from a range of different partners working with children, young people and adults.

Government strategy
The Home Secretary has opened a consultation on a Government Violence Against Women Strategy. While the Home Office is leading on its development, it will be a cross-Government strategy with commitments from all Government departments. It will cover all aspects of violence against women and will focus on the three key areas: prevention, provision and protection.
