Migration Impacts Fund - advance notice for potential bidders

The Government Office for London has asked us to give advance notice of the launch of the Migrants Impacts Fund on 19 March 2009. The fund has come out of the February 2008 green paper, The Path to Citizenship, and will focus on helping to manage the transitional impacts of migration.

The amount of the fund will be announced at the launch, but there will be a specific London allocation. Government Office for London will be managing the fund and will convene the bid assessment panel. All local service providers including the police, local authorities, PCTs, private and third sector organisations will be eligible to bid for funding. There is likely to be a quick turn around with the fund and we are expecting that the deadline for bids will be six weeks after the launch.

Details will be published on the Government Office for London and Department for Communities and Local Government websites after the launch.
