City Bridge Trust supports charitable activity across Greater
London. The City of London
Corporation is the sole trustee of City Bridge Trust and
members of its Court of Common Council form the Trust’s Grants
Committee. The Trust’s grants team is based in the City of
London’s offices at the Guildhall.

A Chair's Compass is a new guide for Chairs of charities and
non-profit organisations which focuses entirely on the Chair's
perspective and the particular challenges and opportunities of
the role. Whether you are a new Chair, or highly experienced, this
guide seeks to provoke both thought and action. The guide will be
useful to Chairs and those who support them including Vice Chairs,
trustees, Chief Executives and governance advisers.
We are pleased to announce the opening of the City of London
Growing Localities Awards 2014-15, run in association with
Lemos&Crane. The awards celebrate the innovative use
of nature and green spaces to improve and enhance lives across
We are pleased to announce that City Bridge Trust has approved
extra funding to support work with hard-to-reach young people, by
awarding £1 million each year over the next decade to youth charity
The Prince's Trust. This grant will finance projects intended to
benefit the most socially-deprived communities in the capital -
especially young people not in education, employment or training
City Bridge Trust is again working in partnership with the
Worshipful Company of Pattenmakers on the Greening the Third Sector
category which this year focuses on building sustainable
communities. This is open to organisations that can demonstrate
their work makes a tangible difference to the sustainability of
their locality by bringing people together, especially from across
City Bridge Trust has formed a new partnership with Buttle UK, the
largest children's grant-giving organisation in the UK to give
directly to individuals, to support children of families affected
by domestic abuse in Greater London.
