Lord Mayor's Show 2012
Published: 13 November 2012
On Saturday 10th November we were proud to take part in the
Lord Mayor’s Show,
marking the election of Alderman Roger Gifford as the 685th Lord
Mayor of the City of London. Over 150 floats took part
representing a diverse range of organisations and institutions,
including ancient Livery Companies, Army Bands, charities and
leading City-based businesses.
For the second year running, our entry was in partnership with
the charity Heart n
Soul, a creative arts company with learning disability culture
at its heart. Our float combined music, dance, video and costumes
based around the concept of the Mysterious Universe Party with
characters and original music created by the young people taking
part.
The day was a huge success, with the mixture of music and
movement producing an enthusiastic response from the crowds lining
the route of the parade. Everyone taking part had an immensely
enjoyable time – a truly unique experience.
