Grant-holders Planting Ideas
Published: 5 December 2012
Eleven grant-holders from the
Horticultural Work Training theme on the Diamond Jubilee grants
programme,
“
Growing Localities”, came together at the Guildhall on 5th
December to hear more about how their work can be better
communicated, effectively evaluated and that learning from this
initiative can be disseminated. Media experts,
Champollion and the
Media Trust, gave top-tips
on how to get their messages across.
The programme will be independently evaluated but each
organisation will work on its evaluation framework, including ‘soft
outcomes’ as well as hard ‘outputs’. We are hoping that lessons
learnt and the good practice identified will form a firm foundation
to the funded organisation and to a wide audience. We want to learn
about what works well and less well so as to improve services and
to build up an evidence base.
These organisations will be working with those most
disadvantaged in the labour market, including NEETs, ex-offenders,
homeless people, people with mental illness and those with learning
disabilities.
